TE REO MĀORI KAIAKO
"He kai kei āku ringa." There is food at the end of my hands. This whakataukī signifies empowerment, tenacity and hope. It refers to one's ability to use the skills and resources they have to create success. We as teachers play a major role in giving our learners the skills and resources they need to grow and become successful. Growing student awareness and passion for te reo Māori me ngā tikanga and maths is a strong desire.

O fānau a manu e fafaga i fugālā'au 'ae 'o fānau a tagata e fagata i 'upu. The offspring of birds are fed with nectar, but the children of men are nurtured with words.
It is my great sense of pride in my Samoan heritage that motivates me to promote my love of diversity and culture within my classroom and school environment. As a teacher, there is an importance in acknowledging students as being at the heart of everything we say and do and I am extremely privileged to have the opportunity to grow the minds of our future generations. Like you, I want our children to be the most amazing individuals they can be. Our students deserve the very best education: equity, excellence, and belonging.

KĀKANO KAIAKO - NEW ENTRANT
Being part of a child's first steps into primary school education is a privilege. I love watching them discover more about themselves and develop early knowledge and skills, and seeing their excitement for life and learning. I recognise the importance of working together in partnership with whānau and our community so that all our tamariki are happy, confident and successful learners.

I am enthusiastic about helping each individual learner to learn while having fun. Reading is important and I love hearing the students talk about what they have discovered from reading. We are all learners and learn something new every day.
